week 7 blog posting

I believe that they should go to a certain extent in matching the technology because that will stimulate the mind. Once you stimulate the mind, you have the undevided attention of the student for a period of time. This wi;; allow you to educate the child how you see fit.

I believe that online chats and instant messages take away from the classroom value and are merely a distraction. This takes away from the true instruction and gives the child a way to find even more reason to not pay attention. The instant message goes instantly from what is being taught to personal dialogue that should not be done in learning environment that you are in.

I think that true benefit is always in face-to-face communication. I believe this is the best method because there can be no m hicups in communication this way. Each person is able to get his or her point acroos exactly the way they want to with no if, ands or buts to be left untouched.

I believe that the use of podcasts with some students can help enhance their learning. However, there are some students that this would be nothing but a distraction. It all depends on the student and how he or she learns.

I think that educational video games help with your learning, but games like madden do not. A game like jeopardy would broden your knowledge on important facts, but madden is only footbal and has no educational value unless you play football. I would not let my kids play videogames every day of the week because it is more of a distraction toward school work. I think that videogames can become an addiction and can cause your grades to slip.
