Voicethread blog

VoiceThread is program that is good for sharing both videos, images and sound. I like how you can have your voice behind any picture that you have up and would be a neat thing to you to teach a history class. I could use this in my math class by putting up diagrams, drawing on them and having my voice in the background explaining the formula or theory.

week 10 publisher post

I likes the activities we did very much so. I felt creating the brochure was fun and that it will be helpful for when i start teaching. There was no muddey point as far as I was concerned. I like using desktop publishing. I would create brochures and make that an assignment for them to do because it will be very helpful in the future.

week 7 blog posting

I believe that they should go to a certain extent in matching the technology because that will stimulate the mind. Once you stimulate the mind, you have the undevided attention of the student for a period of time. This wi;; allow you to educate the child how you see fit.

I believe that online chats and instant messages take away from the classroom value and are merely a distraction. This takes away from the true instruction and gives the child a way to find even more reason to not pay attention. The instant message goes instantly from what is being taught to personal dialogue that should not be done in learning environment that you are in.

I think that true benefit is always in face-to-face communication. I believe this is the best method because there can be no m hicups in communication this way. Each person is able to get his or her point acroos exactly the way they want to with no if, ands or buts to be left untouched.

I believe that the use of podcasts with some students can help enhance their learning. However, there are some students that this would be nothing but a distraction. It all depends on the student and how he or she learns.

I think that educational video games help with your learning, but games like madden do not. A game like jeopardy would broden your knowledge on important facts, but madden is only footbal and has no educational value unless you play football. I would not let my kids play videogames every day of the week because it is more of a distraction toward school work. I think that videogames can become an addiction and can cause your grades to slip.

delicious overview

I feel that delicious is a good site and I would use it. I like the fact that you can access your bookmarked pages from any computer that you are on. That would bee very helpful when I am teaching and would helpl out if i had to teach in a different classroom than normal. This is something that I do see my self using in the future.

inspiration

I found the inspiration program to be very interesting and it seems like it would be very helpful in the future. It is a great way to make charts to go along with various lesson plans that one may use as a teacher. With me being a math teacher i would use inspiration to my learning charts for students to learn some algebraic methods. By using the chart it will make it easier for the student to grasp one part of the concept and then i would hand them another chart which would consist of the next steps. I would make it like aroad map and by the end of the concept they would have made it to their destination.

In my classroom I would have my kids to do a research paper; however, since classroom time is limited I would have them to do it in parts. Using the program inspiration to my advantage i would have them to make outlines of their papers and to send them to another student for proof reading and suggestions. I would keep implementing this method until my students completed their research paper. This is how i would incorporate inspiration with my writing in the classroom.

About Blog's

I feel that there are many other ways to discuss your point of view or get infromation other than using blogs. I guess it could be useful in education if you feel like posting pubicly everything you want to know; however, I dont personally care for it. I do think blogs are a waste of time because if you need to know something I think you should do what you need to do to find the answer. If that means going to the source or calling someone or whatever.
